A word from our pastor

Who can escape the constant worldly bombardment in our day-to-day lives? It’s easy to be distracted by the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic, news of economic woes, the latest smart device launch, current social media trends, and so many other cares of the world.

Over 2000 years ago Paul offered great advice to the church in Corinth based on his personal observations. He urged people not to get caught up in the world’s distractions, but to focus on serving Jesus Christ and preparing for His return.

He said, “But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none; And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not; And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.” 1 Corinthians 7:29-31 KJV.

If we understood the importance of preparing ourselves for the return of Christ, how would our lives change? Let us, then, spend our time wisely in spiritual pursuits.

Welcome to Cherry Carson Assembly of God Church and may the Lord richly bless you!
